  • Belly color: bright red or orange-red
  • May or may not have a gray, brown, or red broad stripe down its back

Life History

  • Diurnal
  • Active season: March – October
  • Breeding season: Early – mid-summer
  • Gives live birth
  • 4 – 8 young per female
